A Mix of Traditional and Creative New Recipes At Nanatori Japanese Restaurant

Nanatori Japanese Restaurant

Nanatori Japanese RestaurantNanatori Japanese Restaurant on Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights is a wonderful mixture of traditional recipes and creative new tastes. Whether you’re a part of the lunchtime crowd or a tourist looking to discover a new restaurant, Nanatori’s menu has something for everyone.

One can’t help but to feel like a member of the Nanatori family as soon as you walk in. The pleasant staff is constantly cycling from table to table, ensuring comfort and friendly conversation along the way.

Experienced sushi chefs have designed a menu that excites and challenges even the most versed sushi connoisseur. Caviar, eel, sea urchin, king crab and lobster are just a few of the ingredients that grace the extensive sushi roll menu.

Of course, if those ingredients seem a little too intimidating, they also have your more standard selection of spicy tuna, yellowtail and salmon.

Sushi isn’t the only option here, however. Nanatori also has noodle, fish, teriyaki and tempura entrees. Try their Bento Boxes to get the most bang for your buck. The dinner specials are served with soup, salad, rice, one appetizer and one roll.

Our favorite roll is the “Montague Roll”. Perfect for summer, this roll combines salmon, avocado, lobster salad and mango to create a wonderful mix of sweet, savory and spicy all in one bite.Nanatori Japanese Restaurant

Not in the mood for a glass of water or a soda? That’s not a problem with Nanatori’s sake menu on hand. Sparkling, fruity, dry – whatever you prefer. Just make sure to ask the staff for the sake that will perfectly compliment your meal!

We have to warn you, once you try the mochi ice cream, you’ll be dreaming about it until you come back again! Mochi is a Japanese treat made from pounded sticky rice and filled with ice cream. Try the green tea or red bean if you’re feeling adventurous!

Looking to celebrate a special event or birthday? Nanatori has hosted many parties throughout its twenty-year tenure. The evidence is on the wall as you walk in – pictures of patrons young and old alike celebrating, smiling and chomping down one of Nanatori’s sweet desserts.
