Fathers play an important role in their child’s education. Father involvement in schools is associated with improvements by students in academics, behavior and social skills. Academically, students receive more A’s, stay in school and enjoy learning more.
Dads Take Your Child to School Day, 2013 had over 11,400 fathers, step-fathers, and other significant caregivers participate in events throughout New York State, from NYC to Buffalo. 478 Head Start Programs, Schools, and Community Based Organizations hosted activities for Dads and their children of all ages.
