streetbeat The Brooklyn Botanic Garden is kicking off their annual Greenest Block in Brooklyn Contest. Free to enter, this competition aims to promote street-scape gardening, tree stewardship and community development throughout Brooklyn.
Winners will receive cash prizes or gardening tools and all will receive a certificate of recognition. The big prizes are awarded for greenest residential and commercial blocks but prizes are also awarded for greenest storefront, best window box and more.
The deadline to enter is Sunday, June 1st!
