DUMBO: Enjoy Live Music On Brooklyn’s “Floating Concert Hall”

Bargemusic Classical Music Concert Hall

Bargemusic Classical Music Concert HallSince 1977, Bargemusic has been an unlikely venue for live music at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge. The 100-foot barge was originally built in 1899 and worked mainly as a coffee carrying vessel.

After a few coats of paint, a community of musicians and a desire to perform for the local Brooklyn community, Bargemusic has become a treasure of the arts and the borough.

Their “Music in Motion” series plays every Saturday at 3pm and while beautiful music is guaranteed, the program is announced at the performance.

Bargemusic has performances on both Saturday and Sunday evenings of July 4th weekend. Tickets are $35 to enjoy works from Beethoven, Messiaen, Chausson and more.

Check out their schedule for more concert information.
