Flatbush: Celebrate “The First Lady of Song”

Ella Fitzgerald was the most popular female jazz singer in our country for more than half a century. She could croon sultry ballads and sweet jazz hits and imitate every instrument in an orchestra.

The Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College is presenting a special Tribute To Ella Fitzgerald on Sunday, April 27th at 3pm.

Featuring the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra, regional musicians and vocalist Deloris King Williams the arrangements that are to be performed are to be a mix of traditional and contemporary jazz pieces.

Come celebrate the life and talent of one of jazz’s greatest artists!
