Flatbush: Cirque Ziva Thrills at Brooklyn Center For The Performing Arts

The Golden Dragon Acrobats from the People’s Republic of China made their way to Flatbush to perform at Brooklyn College’s Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts.

The acrobats did not disappoint! They had a wonderful display of athleticism, theatrical presence, fun props and exciting music.

Varying in difficulty, the events done by both the men and women of The Golden Dragon Acrobats ran the gambit from spinning, throwing and flipping dizzying tops on strings, a female acrobat balancing atop her male counterparts head, and a mind bending balance of one acrobat atop a leaning tower of chairs!

The audience of children, families and adults were wowed. The applause was continuous and contagious – often overwhelmed by the gasps at seeing how the acrobats’ courageous feats!

Next up for the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts is their production of “A Brown Bear, A Moon and a Caterpillar” based on the work of Eric Charles and his beloved children’s tales.
