Nunu Chocolates Brings Chocolate and Beer Together At Last

5TH Ave_Park Slope_street signs_RHNunu Chocolates began with the belief that the world is a better place when chocolate is involved. Nine years later, this cafe and tap room has definitely brightened up Brooklyn with two locations and a unique menu of rich chocolate bars, truffle boxes and beers on tap. A particularly eye-catching feature in the Park Slope shop is the spinning wheel of chocolate, which continuously churns cacao into the perfect consistency for molding their signature sweets, while also spotlighting as an art installation, allowing the customer to see the artistic process of a chocolatier.

Fun Fact: Nunu Chocolates brings together a special mix of cultures, from the company name (“Nunu” is an affectionate nickname for kids in Africa, where the owner spent her childhood) to the Columbian-sourced cocoa beans they use in their chocolates, to the culinary arts of Paris, where Nunu held a chocolate-making exhibit in 2011.
