Willem Dafoe and Mikhail Baryshnikov have enjoyed long, brilliant careers in the entertainment industry. Their newest feat, a far cry from Sex and the City and Spiderman, tackles vaudeville, song, dance, and hilarious chaos.
All of Brooklyn seems to be abuzz about “The Old Woman” since its premiere Sunday at BAM’s Howard Gilman Opera House.
The two-man show is the brain child of surrealist Robert Wilson and is based on a short story by avant-garde Soviet writer Daniil Kharms. Chaos ensues when the men find the corpse of an old woman in their bed.
The BAM showing is only until June 29th. Take part in one of Brooklyn’s most unique performances to date!
