streetbeat You might not think Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and facial hair have all that much in common but in Brooklyn, anything is possible. Let us explain.
Park Slope Academy of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is holding its first ever Facial Hair Competition on July 19th at 2pm (rain or shine). The event is sponsored by Braw Beard Oils, which boast products handmade in Scotland using natural ingredients.
Don’t worry ladies, you can also join in on the fun. Male participants will be judged on quality of beard, and female participants will be judged on most creative fake beard.
So not only can you show off your envious mustaches, beards and everything in between, all competitors will receive a week of free Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training, and the winner gets a month of free training and a beard care package.
