Now that the weather is getting warmer and we’ll all be clamoring for fun and interesting outdoor activities, why not take a step back in time and onto Red Hook’s Waterfront Museum?!
The Lehigh Valley Barge No. 79 is on the National Register of Historic Places and is the only wooden barge of its kind still floating – pretty impressive when you consider it has been around since 1914!
On a FREE tour Saturday’s from 1-5pm (and soon to be Thursday’s 4-8pm, weather permitting) you can visit the Captain’s original living quarters and tinker with tools used by longshoremen.
