The Brooklyn Book Festival 2014, supported by AT&T, will take place on Sunday, September 21, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Brooklyn Borough Hall and Columbus Park with an exciting and ever-growing lineup of beloved children’s authors that will read in the tented Target Children’s Area and sign books for their young fans. Additionally, illustrators and cartoonists will entertain by drawing for children and holding interactive events.
The Target Children’s Area, which is set up each year exclusively for the youngest readers of the Festival, celebrates a day of picture books, stories and illustrations. In between activities and readings, families can enjoy a Sunday afternoon outdoors with food from Brooklyn’s best food carts. This is an exciting day for everyone who enjoys reading, writing and drawing.
A full week of “Bookend” literary-themed events also returns this year, with venues in clubs, parks, bookstores, theaters and libraries across the borough from September 15 – 21, serving readers of all ages.
